THE FAMILY
The family is God's first learning community. Families that function by His grace, and according to His design, become the building blocks that comprise the culture and the Church. Strong marriages mean healthy families which make for strong and healthy churches.
THE TRUTH
We openly hold up the Bible as God's Word and completed revelation. Jesus is the source and fullness of all wisdom and truth. His Gospel is the only hope for this world. We are unashamed to embrace and proclaim these realities.
BUILDING DISCIPLES
The Great Commission is not simply a call to evangelize, but to make disciples who obey Jesus and become like Him. This is the highest calling of the Church, and all other endeavors serve this purpose.
GENEROSITY
One of the ways we reflect Christ is by living generously. This manifests itself in the way we steward our time, touch, treasure, and talents. Everything that we have belongs to God. Building His Kingdom is the surest investment.
PRAYER
We humble ourselves before God and exchange our weakness and pride for His strength and humility. The goals He has set before us are humanly impossible. Only by intercession and continual reliance upon Him in prayer will we accomplish His will.
CHURCH PLANTING
There is no more effective way of reaching thelost than planting new churches. Sending our best people away invigorates the Body and keeps us reliant upon God. We believe in multiplication, so we establish new works in new places.
THE LOCAL CHURCH
The local church is Christ's redeemed, who live as the expression of the supremacy of Jesus, and advance His Gospel. Every believer is to be under the protection and nurture of the leadership of the local church, which is imperative to living a life without compromise.
MALE HEADSHIP
God created men and women, male and female, in His Image, equal in value, different in roles. This expressed itself in the home and in the Church as men are called to lead form the position of headship, which begins with the glad assumption of responsibility.
EXPOSITION
God's Word is living and active, sharper than a two-edged sword. At Emmaus Road, our pastors don't use the Bible to preach our messages. We strive to let the Bible preach its message through us.
